On June 16th the members of the Worker Center voted to rename the Portland Day Labor Hire Site the Martin Luther King Jr. Worker Center. This new name reflects not only the physical location of the worker center, but also a commitment to providing community and services beyond hiring. The Worker Center continues a legacy of social justice activism that is well represented in the name Martin Luther King Jr. Worker Center.
