VOZ supporters at the Tin Shed

Last Thursday, July 22nd the Tin Shed hosted a fundraiser giving 10% of their proceeds to support VOZ Worker’s Rights Education Project. VOZ supporters and Tin Shed lovers alike turned out in scores to delight in the restaurant’s deliciously local cuisine.

The money raised from this fundraiser will go to support VOZ’s food cart project. This food cart will be located at the MLK Worker Center to provide employment for day laborers, increase access to healthy and affordable food on site and in the area and provide an opportunity for the outside community to come to the Worker Center.

We are currently undergoing a Strategic Plan Process and are seeking out impressions, perspectives, and recommendations for our work. We have created an online survey that takes about 10-20 minutes to complete. We really want as much participation as possible, regardless of how involved you have been and for how long.
