In the face of a national political climate that seeks to dehumanize and criminalize our immigrant communities - particularly day laborers, domestic workers, and those living at the intersections of race, immigration status, gender, and class - Las VOZes Jornaleras emerges as a space of story-telling, connection, and resistance.
This podcast was developed by and for workers - the same members who arrive at our Worker Center each morning in search of just, safe, and fair work. Under the magnolia tree, workers share their stories of migration, labor, identity, survival, and hope.
We created Las VOZes Jornaleras with two main goals:
In our first episode, we’ll walk through the daily rhythm at the Worker Center and highlight the skilled labor and humanity behind every job. This series will also include conversations with organizers, attorneys, and allies fighting for immigrant and worker justice across the country.
Las VOZes Jornaleras is more than a podcast—it's a platform for community power in the face of systemic attacks.
